Evil Prank!

Postby koolkarts on Tue Mar 22, 2005 2:01 pm

Hi guys! I am a n00b so if this topic is an old one please dont flame me!
Anyways this is a great way of getting revenge of a friend:

I live in the UK and in our school there is a payphone. Sometimes when I forget my money and need something from home, I phone my mum through a reverse charge call. A reverese charge call is basically a very expensive call which is something like £1 every 5 seconds! It's a rip off! Anyways, when I ever use such a reverse charge call I dial 100 and an operator picks up and asks me what I want. I say a reverse charge call, and she then asks me who I am. I say my name and that I need to phone my dad desperately, and I do get to phone him. But this is where the prank comes in;

Instead of phoning your parents, phone your enemies number when you know that his/her parents are away. The best time to do this is when they are at school and their parents are at work. Once you have done this, phone the operator and lie and say that you are a member of the family and give her the number of your enemy's home. Now, when the answer machine comes up, leave the phone hanging and walk off. I once did this and I gt £50 on their bill. I'm not sure if you can do this in the US but its a lot of fun here in the UK! Try it!

Wow thats not really original sorry. I've never herd of reverse calls. we have services that do collect calls that charge the person like 1 dollar for up to 20 minutes, but they have to accept it. 1-800-CALLATT. plus it doesnt matter if you leave your phone off the hook all the other person has to do is hang up, and answere machines usually cut you off in 1 minute. How would you know how much it charged them?

Actually HAZe reverse calls do exist. Well In my country they are a major thing and yes......... They do cost around 5 dollars a minute.
Plus you don't have ring an operator here, so I will try this tommorow.
Nice prank if you live outside of the us dude. Keep it up

I'm not sure about other places but in the UK I think that there's only like an 80p connecting charge and that's it, could be wrong. HAze is right though, you do have to wait for the other person to accept your call - the operator tells the other person your name and asks if they want a connection. I remember those times when I pranked on the way home annd the operator asked if people wanted to be connected to "Ben Dover" or "Hugh Jass". Immature, but aren't immature prank calls what being a ten year old is all about?

Sorry about the problem HAze, next time I'll try and name the prank appropriately. Anyways, you do know how much the reverse charge call costs because the idiot who u just pranked will come in the next day and say "OMFG, MY DAD WAS CHARGED £50 FOR NUTHIN!!!"
